Yeah, was ahead of his time. I have the option of going to California and studying California environmental history and issues. His works and life should be discussed in primary schools. It's good that you know of him.

i'm backpacking the john muir trail in california this summer. check that out if you haven't already heard of it... it's fairly amazing.
