The first two weeks this semester went well. My Arabic class has been intense, but smooth. My film class is a piece of cake. We have watched Soviet propaganda so far and the history along with the documentaries I know like the back of my hand. I also have another undergrad class that is online. My Independent Study class is great. I do what I want. The Theory and pro-seminar are great. My Totalitarianism via Film and Literature class will be the easiest class I've taken since I was an undergrad. It is an upper level class taught by a Pole. One may be suprised when you learn how many papers, organizations and departments want a history of conflift when there is unrest in a region. It's good business for me, but very bad news in general. I won a $30,000 Scholarship! It is for around $7,000 a semester. Several foundations like my research and think I will be an excellent historian. I honestly do not know what I want to do with the rest of my life. I know that I will finish my PhD. What I will do after that is a different story. The Army is hell bent on me going to OCS.
