We have taken them to a park and had a picnic, gone to a movie, one year we did art in the drive way. See if you can Hire Aunty Babs Finishing School for a girly day.

It is easier for me I just follow John's lead

naughtyaelf recently took a small herd of 9-year-olds to the zoo/botanical garden for a fun time. I don't remember if B/N has a zoo...
Ally is NOT 9 - it can't be!

B/N does have a really cute Pocket Handkerchief Sized Zoo, We went there with the kids several years ago, maybe they were about 9ish. It was fun.

Anyplace that allows them to run and blow off a lot of energy before eating works well.

I'm glad you are alive and doing well. I think you have some good ideas above for parties, if there are only a few people she wants to invite a moive is fun, if it's more i think the park is a good idea.
