spent the evening watching state of origin (queensland/new south wales equivalent of superbowl for footy) and drinking beer with a bunch of aussies. very entertaining. i've noticed that the more drunk they get, the more pronounced their accents get, and the more willing they are to tell jokes (for a few hours) about catholics and/or aboriginals.
