Got home from a drive with my dad a little bit ago.

He told me he's "not convinced" about my "choice" and that he will be "pushing back" in order to fill his "fatherly duties".

So, pretty much, he'll be trying to make me straight. For the next 5 YEARS while I live at home for college.

My life just gets... better... and better...

Not that it's something for him to be 'convinced' about. It's for you to know, and him to understand.

Don't live at home the next 5 years for college. Find somewhere else. You'll like it a lot better. Trust me.

Its going to be hard at the moment hon, you have only just told them and so you need to let them deal with the initial shock - and this is the way your dad is going about it - he thinks that you have made a choice and he will be able to convince you otherwise that its the wrong one

I think your dad is simply in shock...my dad was the same way..but he's gotten used to teh fact im gay.

Granted, your situation is more difficult than mine was, but I believe your dad will come around in time.

Just remember one thing...NEVER be what someone else wants you to be. Be what YOU wish to be, be what YOU are comfortable with...trust me...give in at any time and your life is not yours anymore.
