Anyway, this was a beautiful movie, shot on digital video but with amazing use of color, composition, and lightning. It was very emotionally affecting as well.
The problem was that it was too long.
This thing came in at like three hours.
That, and some of the editing was confusing. You're not supposed to be sitting there asking "Wait...which character died?" when it's not intended to be a mystery. And this happened TWICE.
I'm convinced that with a good editor, this could have been a GREAT movie. I'm not going to insist on doing it myself, but if it was just trimmed and tightened up, it could have been dominant.
