I have this ornately carved spacesaver (cabinet that goes over your toilet to create extra storage space) in my bathroom. Plaster or paper mache for the initial design grab plaster may also work for the actual moulding of the cabinet. play dough will also harden well enough to make a mould.

make sure to put down something as a release agent. Vaseline, cooking spray etc.

Thanks. My inital thought was playdoh or clay for the mold. I'm just not sure what to use to make the casting out of yet to adhere to some plain new bath cabinet doors that we could stain/paint to match the other wood. The final product should result in the detailed carving replicated.
