I saw a bald eagle when I was driving to Missoula this weekend. It was sitting on a deer carcass that was half buried in snow in the ditch.

Moar hiking!
Did a day trip to Glacier yesterday, and hiked the first bit of the Highline trail. We were going to go all the way down, but we ran out of time and decided to turn around at Haystack Butte. Just spent an hour digging my car out of the snow. Blarg. The problem is, it is really wet snow--about 10 inches sitting on 6 inches of slush, which is sitting on mud. It is not cold enough to solve these problems, nor is it warm enough. Also, it is still snowing. It has been snowing for two days. Supposedly it is going to stop snowing at 6:00 ( Read more... ) -
