I'm back from vacation and procrastinating like a motherf*cker. I have all kinds of pictures to show you folks and will post the flickr link this weekend...i swear...i must

Wow, color me jealous! I wish I'd gotten some free food last night... Last night I went grocery shopping with Molly (we tried to go to Steve's C-town but it was closed, as were the next 4 grocery stores we drove by, so it ended up being Fairway, even though I only had like $20 to spend and that's DANGEROUS). After explaining my extreme poverty coupled with extreme lack of food to the Mollster, I was given a limit of SEVEN items. I did pretty well at the challenge, I thought. But my total number of items came to ten. Then Molly, who was in line behind me with less than seven items, was told that her cash was not legal tender. Ok, that wasn't exactly what the cashier said, but she DID insist loudly and with annoyance that she could only take plastic and Molly should have known that. HOW Molly should have known this was not clear. But it ended up with a ridiculous scene involving a sympathetic onlooker offering coins to help Molly get exact change (the only thing they'd accept besides a card). A sad state.
That Molly think makes no sense! Was she trying to pay with $100 or something? They can't legally refuse money. That is the law!
You should totally do farmshare next year. It sucks paying for a whole summer worth of veggies at once but I have a feeling that later in the summer when I am feeling extremely poor (when I say later in the summer, I mean next week when vacation spending catches up with me), I will be extremely thankful for the veggies.
Want me to throw extra veggies your way? I already had a parsley plant. Want? Also have more lettuce than I can use.
It depends on how much you make. If you make less than $40,000 it is $300 for 22 weeks of veggies, and can be as much as $420 if you make more than $70,000. I also added on a fruit share which is another $120. So with fruit is is right around $20 a week which I easily spend more than cooking for myself. But if you just get veggies it is $13 a week. Totally worth it for me not to have to pick stuff out!
