So my progress report came in the mail yesterday. And my grades are horrible. I'm not just talking Bs or whatever. They fucking sucked to the max. My mom freaked out, of course, which is understandable because that's what mothers do. Freak out. And I must admit, they're not the best grades that I could get and I have been slacking off a lot this

Well, at least recognize that your parents have a valid point. Obviously if you're talking to Tyler at 10:30 every night, then you aren't doing your homework, which detracts from your grades. Your parents may overreact, but you need to prioritize and understand that boys and schoolwork can and should live in a peaceful harmony. Unless Tyler is rich and you're gonna marry him, in which case I'd say screw it.
