I feel like I'm back in middle school
but in a more serious situation.

I feel like I'm letting a lot of people down
or putting people aside
and I'm sorry if you're one of them.

I want escape.
So bad.
run far away
from the world around you
cut yourself out of the pictures
of the partying teenagers and suburban houses
sneak out during the night

I got lost in your poem.
I really just got completely enveloped in your imagery.
And I think I'm half-trying to sound really corny.
Because I'm aware that my first sentence was very cliche and I'm also aware that I did not redeem myself with my second sentence that was just overly dramatic yet completely true.
So, now I'm just digging myself deeper and deeper into this hole of corniness and melodrama.
