Discombobulated.

I'm a bit blah today. I just don't know what to do with myself now that I am not at work. I have been lying down heaps as I am really tired but I feel guilty for doing nothing.

I have washed the dishes and done the laundry and pestered B. into changing one of our broken blinds.  There are lots of things that I could be doing but bah!!

Ooh, tell me what the one armed cook book is like! I've seen it and it looks really interesting.

Also, you have to remember something very important: if you are sitting still, 'doing nothing', your heart is still working like you're running a marathon because you're growing a baby. You are working harder when you're laying down than most people are working when they're actually at work/doing housework/jogging around the block. TRUE STORY.

You have totally earned the right to put your feet up. And remember, once baby arrives everything will be on its ear. You will have very little sleep, and the first month especially will be really hard work and really draining. These last few weeks you have before then you need to stock up on your rest - look after yourself!

The one armed cook book is pretty jolly. It has some nice stories in it and some yummy recipes. But the recipes in it are something you would expect to pick up at a school fete *grin*. I think they took any donated recipes and just plonked them all in a book:) They didn't even check that a number of them are the same. And I am not sure how less time consuming they really are.

But it's nicely designed and for a very good cause and there are alot of 'home made' recipes that I would not normally try - so it's good to have around.

Thanks for the advice about sitting around:) I understand why I feel so tired now. I forgot about how much strain a baby can place on the heart.

I guess I feel a little irritable about 'the waiting' - if you get me? I just want to have the little one now!! Ha!!

Yeah, I was just saying today (to the nice lady at the reception desk at MOPD) that in a way it's really good that I'm at the stage where I'm having weekly appointments. Going to see the doctor (or whoever) once a week feels like I'm doing something, rather than just waiting around.

*grin*
