Yeah, babies should have a few good naps during the day at least. Yesterday Vincent was awake all afternoon and he rewarded us with a screaming fit last night. Unusual for him and God it was awful... I ended up having to take him to bed with me around 8pm, so that was my night gone!
Adult company is a big deal, huh?
I'm glad that Ava's night screaming has settled down. Broken sleep is awful enough, but when it's emotionally draining as well - not to mention how it must feel to the wee one!
Do you ever wear her in a sling? I knew you had the sling you didn't like, but have you tried any others? I find that wearing Vincent and walking around with him can help a lot when he's grumpy. Doesn't always work, but it's pretty good.
I don't wear a sling because Ava doesn't like the baba sling. I have worn her in a Baby Bjorn but either B. and I carry her around alot:) When she is awake she is in my arms or being carried:) I should give the one you use a go (meh tai?).
She was diagnosed with reflux. We figured out if she was laying down (usually of a night time) the acid was rising in her tummy and making her cry - plus she was projectile vommiting. Hopefully we have sorted it out by feeding her smaller quantities (but more often). She seems happier.
It's so heartbreaking when the little one is crying or screaming and you don't know how to make it better for them. *gar* The skin to skin contact usually seems to work though:)
