Einstein's Riddle

I came across Einstein's Riddle the other day.  It only took me about two hours to figure this out.  I made several tables, but what eventually worked for me was a combination of a table and color coding.

The comment below the riddle, that Einstein thought 98% of people couldn't figure it out, was just like a dare to me.  However, I think that ( Read more... )

Done. I think Einstein is wrong on this. Anyone could figure it out. All people have some form of logic. Now whether people have the patience to figure it out...that's another story. I won't tell you my time. I taking the LSAT three times would do me good somewhere lol.

Yes, that's what I think too, that most people have enough logic. The problem is having enough confidence, patience and strategic ability to put the parts together. Confidence is maybe the biggest part of it. When Einstein made that comment, it may very well have been true because educational norms of the general population were not as high as they are today.

I love to solve puzzles like this! It gives me a huge sense of accomplishment.

Got it!

For Christmas this year my mom got me "perplexors" which are basically puzzles just like this. I really enjoy them, but it makes me feel like a big nerd to have asked for them. We're still waiting on the harder levels to be back in stock though. My current book is for 6-7th graders. This one was definitely more intricate than those.

Anyway, I agree, the answers are there, they just take time to figure out.
