That was a better show and dine than I expected from this place. Over the top, but that part wasn't a surprise. If you take into account the people in it and the subject of the song. Shit, I can't stop humming it.

[ooc: A-go!]
Sakon is seated at the desk, carefully flipping through the documented articles in the small black binder. He's taking notes in a small line note book he'd found in the library. The thing had certainly seen better days, but it was the best he could find in the decomposing papers.

The lone figure in sight looks familiar, in a way. He raps softly against the wall and walks in quietly--no sense in startling whoever it is, especially since his face is probably enough of a heart attack on its own.]
OOC || Out of curiosity, just what will Sakon be showing him? XD

"G... good afternoon!" The puppet master says softly, clearly a bit nervous though it seems a bad affliction of common shyness than being put off by the scar.

At least he'd expected the Japanese.]
"Hey. You the guy who told me to come over for the documents?" [--should be specific enough.]

"I did," He says in English now, even managing to hide his accent as the newcomer is clearly a westerner. "I... I've copied down some of the more significant documents b... but I'd prefer the originals stay in here."In case he ever vanished, they'd be easily accessible to anyone who needed them. "I've t... taken record of some of the unusual things happening around here as well, dating significant events as I've gone along. Edward Elric has also been working on investigating this place." He set the small, dog-eared diary down on the desk with the binder and suddenly jumped as if startled by something. "Ah, forgive m...me, but I never asked your name."

[His lip quirked.] We can talk in Japanese if you want. I'll want your input in going through these, anyway; copies are fine. [Stepping closer, he ran an eye over the papers while he pulled out a chair next to Sakon.] Since they're your notes and things.
I'm Mello. [And...] You're Sakon, right? Puppet guy at the talent show?

"Oh, th... thank you, Mello-san. And, yes, I'm Sakon Tachibana. It's a pleasure to meet you." He sounded relieved as he bowed his head again. He was much more comfortable speaking Japanese and gladly took Mello up on his offer.
"My current interest is the Trevor f...family," He says softly, opening the binder to the carefully pasted-in article with the article in it. "This Sofia Trevor may be among the scientists that k...kidnapped us. Probably the one called Lolita. Recent events with her kidnapping has led me to believe th- ah... I'll just let you read it. S... sorry." He handed him the binder and notebook, his head lowered.

[Well, at least he was slightly more coherent in Japanese. The stutter would've probably driven Mello nuts in English; as it was, this was definitely useful information, so he swallowed his impatience and got down to business.
First off--]
That's... something. [One way to put it. What kind of daughter described her father's suicide like that?] And what makes you believe Sofia could be-- [His eyes caught on a name on the page and he tripped over his words for a moment. Probably a false alarm. Likely. Maybe.] --could be Lolita?
And-- [One more thing.] You have a map of the subway tunnels?

[He broke the thoughtful pause.] You've seen Lolita then, I assume.

Sakon smiled, giving a small nod of his head.
"And you're right. But the fact remains that with the frequency the new graffiti had been appearing mentioning Sofie suggests that she is likely still alive. The only o...original inhabitants we know of are the scientists and Summers who is now dead." He looked at Mello, thoughtful for a moment. It wasn't often Sakon looked directly at people. They always made him nervous.
"Following a flimsy lead is b...better than going blindly." He flipped through the binder until he found what he was looking for. A subway map he had painstakingly pieced together from memory. "The mountains and the neighboring city of Accido are places of i...interest."

[Mello remained silent throughout Sakon's argument, turning over the possibilities and remembering to note the date on the article (year 2000... earlier, that was so fucking weird)--that, and being pleasantly surprised that the kid could put up such a coherent defense. He'd been afraid he'd have to play 20 Questions With The Speech-Impaired.] Yeah, point.
[He leaned over, eyes narrowing with interest as he took in the subway map--he'd want some record of these documents, but even if he couldn't get the exact replica of every single thing for now (damn the paper shortage), he could retain most of this.] Yeah, so I hear. You been there, too?

"I've been t...to the subway, yes. It's..." He looks down at a rather interesting in splotch on the floor. "It's dangerous, and some parts are blocked off. I take it you plan on going?"
