Less than a month to Scotland! Yay!!!!

The wild irises are growing again, and the exciting thing is that there are even more of them now than there were last summer! I'm an aunt! Beth and Steve had their first child, Elijah Miguel, on August 1 at around 2:02 our time. He weighs in at 9 pounds, 6 ounces- eesh! I can't wait to see pictures!

I rear-ended someone today in my friend Tara's car, which I had borrowed to return a movie. I was backing up in a driveway to let this guy on a bike get past me. While I had been waiting to make a left-hand turn out of this driveway, a car had pulled in behind me, which surprised me because the parking lot was pretty empty.
