My cancan skirts are officially finished! YAY! I rehemmed the underskirt (what a pain) and added bias tape to the top ruffle. I also finally hemmed the overskirt.

All of the ruffles are on the underskirt!

I'm up to five rows! And I miscounted - I actually have three more to go, for a total of EIGHT rows of ruffled goodness.

( But it looks fabulous, if I do say so myself, even if the underskirt already weighs a ton! )

Spring Break has come and is nearly over already. *sigh* I didn't accomplish much sewing-wise (but really, when have I ever? ;). Yes, it's true. LOL. I'm trying to be better this semester and sew at least one day every weekend. That's about all I can devote to non-academia pursuits. So, I did a little work on my Picnic Blouse, finally going into the sewing lab and hemming it with a satin stitch. I love how it turned out, but the stitching is a little 'bright'. Last Saturday I sewed it all together, yesterday I went into the lab to do the buttonholes, and today I drove into town to buy the rest of the buttons I needed and sewed them on.
