Again, congratulations! Gave me a great excuse to go back and reread the earlier chapters, which are so lovely and deliciously angsty. If you need any help with chapter 7, you know where to find me. :)

*hugs you much*

I think you've seen all the ch6 stuff except for my revamps and the Kat section, and you and Indi's beta advice was still on file and helped LOTS, so I may take you up on that =)

Ohhhh this story is so wonderful. I don't know why I didn't read the earlier parts before but now I have! Hope to see more soon.

probably because they're four years ancient ;) However, I'm glad you liked them now.

I hope to have the story done by the weekend and up by Tuesday, but I won't absolutely promise on that. Let's just say 'soon' for the final chapter.

Thank you so much!

Oh I think I really liked the flashback that kicked off 6 the best. You so clearly showed Adama's side in this in a way that is quite sympathetic to him, which is excellent, because I think one thing this fic clearly shows with all the multiple POVs you employ is that perspective is everything. I liked how you made it clear that Zak told him just enough for him to come to the conclusions he did ( ... )

I really like Adama. Sometimes I really hate what I'm writing in this fic, because - and it's a big part of why it's been so hard to finish - the antagonism is so painful and it often feels like I won't be able to fix it.

I think one of the reasons I found it hard to finish is that I had to realise it's not going to be 'fixed'. Not quite the way we might want it, anyway.

I love my dysfunctional Adama extended family, you know. It's something that didn't get enough airtime late in the series. The military and politcs took over the family dynamic after NuCap. And as for K/L? It's pretty much what I write. If I can keep this up, maybe there'll be a little more fic about ;)

Thanks for your great comments. They've made my day.

Diehard Pilots fan as I am, what I missed more about everything after NuCap was exactly that: the family dynamic. Because it covered Kara and Lee's bond (even if it never was just about their family attachments) as well as our main four players, AND also extended to the whole Galactica crew. I loved their little space family and the fracturing of that--as people defected to depression, to mutiny, to cylonhood, to frakking destiny--is what really depresses me about the final two seasons. :(

my favourite way to pretend to be profound was to call Galactica a microcosm of the fleet, but with all the action included, heh. It remains true all the same, even if it's not particularly difficult to see. The connection to home and the family vanished in the latter half of BSG, and I suppose that's not all that surprising, except that the dynamics that replaced them were rarely benevolent. I think pragmatism and self-interest was far more pervasive after the first half of season 3.

One of these days I'll have to do a rewatch and meta. It's too depressing not to have come up with some kind of overarching myth for this show. What I loved about it was still part of it in the end, but with far less consistency.

Oh man, seeing this just made me so ridiculously happy. I can't tell you how many times I've read the first five chapters, and I love the twists and turns of the Adama family drama here. And I'm quite tired so I can't really muster the feedback this deserves, but I am SUPER HAPPY to have more leda13 fic.

*grins* most feedback is good enough, just because you cared enough to comment. I'm glad that some of the great BSG fans who have read this and loved it are coming back despite my (three and a bit year) hiatus =) Thank you!
