i have read the first five chapters of this so many times, and i am so happy to see that you are finishing it. i love your writing.

i think the adama flashback in the beginning of this chapter is my favorite because we can see adama's own perspective.

Thank you, thank you for continuing and posting! This is one of my favorite WIP that I have read over and over. I love the early Adama-Kara dynamic in the show and mourned its demise after NuCap, so I have no idea why I love this antagonistic relationship between Bill and Starbuck, especially since they never had any bond except contempt so how will they find a way to 'mend'? Maybe they won't. But I love how Lee goes to bat for her time and time again. Advocate Lee makes my heart flutter!

Sorry for the split chapter. I still haven't learned brevity. What's to be sorry for? More leda13 fic to love! I hope you never learn paucity. The world you build is so rich in detail and history.

Wow, another faithful follower, huh? =) I feel so guilty every time I read this, because despite real life intervention, every time I've picked up my notes to work on it, I've shied away because it's TOUGH. This story is really rough to write

This just made my day :) You have been one of my favorite BSG writers since I started poking around this fandom not so long ago --you writing is just too fabulous for words, and I love your pilots--, but I must admit that I hadn’t read this WIP… Partly because I try to avoid WIPs until they are finished -uncompleted stories, especially if I love them, frustrate the hell out of me. So when I saw this chapter, I read the whole fic in one sitting and… wow. Love it! It’s difficult to find really good K/L long stories, and this is definitely one of the best I’ve read. I am a hardcore Kara/Lee shipper, but the most fascinating thing about this tale is not pilots per se but the antagonism between Kara and Adama. It’s so amazing how twisting the canon just in the slightest their relationship has such a different color. Love how you manage to portray Adama as a bastard but also a man worthy of sympathy. Can’t wait how you’ve chosen to wrap up this tale

I'll certainly be trying to write more. I have a few WiP's that I'm determined to finish, and I'll be relieved to get them off my conscience, which should give me a chance to do some new things.

And no, no dead Karas. Anathema! I am one of those who think the shameless ratings-grab maneuvers need a whole lot more contextual support to work, and Kara's death in the series didn't really work for me. This story's satying fairly canon-consistent at this point. I'm not going to branch out too highly, because I want the framework to remain, but the people in it are going to have to grow a little differently.

High praise is intended. "Contraventions" has long been near-top-of-my-personal favorites, mainly for how well you 're-work' the pilots so well and keep them in-character for their slightly/profoundly altered circumstances

LOL! That's a lovely idea, but just a little too soft a landing for such a rough story. Still, I'm hoping that you won't be disappointed in the ending all the same. It's a hopeful one, and a practical one.

I managed to pin down about 2500 words of ch 7 tonight. The rest is well-drafted and looking promising, so I think I can safely promise that you won't be waiting long. Four or five days for the first part, perhaps, unless I get a lot of uninterrupted time in the next day or two =)

Leda's back! I am soooooo happy that you are picking back up and working on your WIP's. I just re-read the entire story to date and completely fell back in love with it. Your writing is so good and I love this AU. Adama is just so unbending but a perfect characterization for this piece. Thank you and your muse for coming back to this one and giving us the rest of the story. Can't wait to see what happens next.
