Mr. Sandman bring me a dream . . .

Jun 27, 2007 15:14

I had a dream with such terrible clarity last night that I woke up from the pain. The physical pain I suffered in the dream, clawed it's way into my waking ribs ( Read more... )

not to put a weird vibe on this, but I am Fascinated by dreaming. Especially the vivid/lucid kind... this is mostly because I remember almost none of my dreams. For serious. There's one when I was a little kid and Count Chocula was trying to kill me, and one where I woke myself up screaming because I saw a giant black snake crawl through a hole in the wall and into my bed while I was paralyzed... as disturbing as they can sometimes be, I would like to have more of them.

That is all.

They are called Lucid Dreams, and that's how I dream almost exclusively. Especially when something doesn't make sense, or something is frightening -- I know immediately that I'm dreaming and can either follow the dream, change it, turn it off, or "turn the channel". Angela (at Magestry) can do it, too. I was lead to believe in Psychology courses that it was pretty rare, but I'm encountering more and more people who lucid dreamers, so ::shurg:: I guess we aren't so strange afterall. Well, at least not so strange for dreaming the way we do. ;-)

You know, yesterday I had nothing more than a passing curiosity as to why a dream where I was trapped in the dark abruptly changed to a dream where I met familiar people in a mid-autumn forest.

Now, I'm wishing I remembered more of those dreams. That's pretty freaky.

I've actually been having somewhat prophetic dreams lately. That happens to me once in a while out of the blue. Remember that post I had made about having nightmares all night and waking up screaming a lot? Well I had dreamt that one of my cats died while I was away at Cape Cod. Well, none of my cats died, but my bird and my fish died while I was away. Like you said...your dream is probably somewhat prophetic, but it won't happen exactly like the dream.

I wonder if that's why the faeries didn't want to get involved last night...too negative of a thing? I get the feeling they don't like to speak about really bad stuff. They'd rather pretend it isn't happening.

Oi. I just have a really bad feeling about this whole shtuff. I did when you told me about it last night.

So who was the guy in the dream you were sitting next to?

I do remember.

Well it's smart to have a bad feeling about it . . . I don't think it's going to be all wine and roses . . . but we need to deal with it. I can't back out now.

It's quite possible.

I'd like to hear more about your dream, maybe soon. I had a dream two nights ago where I woke up in physical pain, an echo from the dream I was having... I've had an almost constant stream of dreams involving current people and faces from the past, and I'm afraid I haven't made the effort to remember a moment of any of them -- the alarm goes off, and I'm all getting-ready-business like. Dreams *poof* gone. Sometimes in the dream I think "I know you, but I don't remember who you are," and then in the shower I'll remember who they were, but the situation was lost to my memory. Ok. I'm done rambling.

Anyway. I hope it turns out for the best, whatever it is. Because I always do.
