Wow, the Eiffel Tower is far more tall than I was thinking it was! I can't imagine what people thought of it right after it was built--incredible!

Is it always that busy?!

i've bee there twice, both times very busy and filled to the top with tourists, when i got to the top and exited the lift an american man walked up to the controller lady and reported in a typical narc fashion, "those two people are on extasy", she replied, "and???, this is paris!" with a smile..
i thought that was funny.

and it was the tallest structure in the world until the sears tower came along in chicago.
