For personal comments I am mostly transitioning to my new blog, Quantum Entanglement. If you happen to be interested, most of my personal notes/comments will be there in the future.

I will mostly (but probably not exclusively) use Livejournal for participation in different communities that I view, participate in, and debate in from time to time.

I really, really, really would like to have this available to me to organize my computer desktop. I think it would really help me and fit the way I think and organize stuff. (Having said that, it would also drive others nuts that wind up looking over my shoulder sometimes when I work...

It is possible that I (or almost anybody else) could come across as arrogant at times. Most of us couldn't possibly hold a candle to these guys, though...

The word of the day is... patent troll.

There is a story about an attempt to halt the spread of "the despised cane toad" in Australia by introducing a gene that would cause future generations to all be male. Now, that may well be a good solution to the problem, but I found the following comment very funny:
