Way To Know You're Over-wearing Your Contacts #27: After being mildly irritated all day, your eye sheds a layer of skin the size and shape of a contact lens.

I'm definitely going to be investing in a new pair of glasses soon.

(On the bright side, my eye feels great now. I'm resisting the urge to put my contacts back in.)

Oh, it was awesome. As it detached from my cornea it got surrounded by that kind of mucus that surrounds foreign objects in the eye, but it was just floating there the way a contact does. It wouldn't flush out for anything. Finally, after messing with it for like ten minutes, I finally managed to grab hold of it and peel it the rest of the way off.

In retrospect I wish I'd taken a picture of it. :)
