An event marking the International Day Against Homophobia will take place tomorrow at 18:00 at TAU. I'll be speaking about the alternative parade and the protest vigils. Shiri will be speaking as well, about biphobia. I'd love to see you all.

I've just finished writing my Cinderella essay. Writing it took a damn long while, considering the fact that I had started it a couple of years ago. Although most of this time it was left untouched. On the buses on the way there almost everybody were half (or not just half) asleep. It was small, smokey and rather dark, always somewhere between crowded and over crowded, the sound was horrible, and the best definition for most of the gigs I've seen there was "They played, ammm.... something". In a facebook note, Gilli published a BBC "Nation's most beloved novel" reading list, out of which people will have read less than 6 books. I could criticize the literary taste, or rather lack thereof, apparent in the list, including The De Vinci Code, for an instance, but what I found notable is actually one of the comments. My grandma was released from the hospital on Wednesday. She moved, in a rather impressive speed, from being on the brink of death, to being nearly fine. She's still not breathing well, but there's nothing new about that, and she's still weak, but at least for now, she's fine ( Read more... )
