I have sort of switched over to the new Yahoo! blogging tool (in the spirit of eating one's own dog food, you know) but I suppose I should mention here that I did in fact move down to Sydney last week...

For anyone who hasn't heard, I did end up in Sydney, although I got to fly on Monday night instead of Sunday. I am here because Yahoo! AUNZ merged with Channel 7, one of the major media companies here (semi-comparable to the ABC/Disney empire, minus the theme parks) to form a new company, Yahoo! 7. 2006 is barely three weeks old, but it's been busy so far. Between work, and Boston for New Year's, and apartment-hunting in SF, I feel like I have barely been home. Sunday I am flying to NYC to train our new hire there for a week, and I found out today there's about a 50-50 chance I will fly back home next Sunday only to repack my bag and get on ( Read more... )

Has calmed down a little this week. But is it really calm, or just the calm before the storm?
