"Hero," a Quentin Tarantino film. Liar. Promoting a movie by buying its copyrights and distributing it under a false name is shameless. I'm extremely annoyed with the fact that, first of all, Zhang Yi Mou (Actual Director) sold the rights of his movie in a lame attempt of money-hoarding, and second of all, that some American movie production ( Read more... )

My english teacher had bought the original version of Hero with subtitiles and let us watch it during the school year,it was amazing.
He told us that it would be coming out in America and that Quentin Tarantino would be taking credit for the movie and it was something that he did not deserve. They even messed up the plot in the previews...and it pisses me off.
hah i was just glad to see someone else who knew and felt the same way..

I'm so surprised that people actually know about this. Thank God and thank you for not being ignorant on this. Btw, good luck in college.

Dude, come over next week. I went to Chinatown today and brought mass amounts of Korean movies. Yesterday, I got your IM really late. I was in Chinatown (we have to go) and then, Carinna's B-Day party. Tell you more later. Bye.

I don't know about taking credit. I guess it'll come off that way to anyone who doesn't know that Zhang Yimou was the director. But it can be seen in a positive light: this is the only way the American public will be able to see the uncut, 120-minute version of the movie. He's making an investment and he's getting something from it. All credit-taking issues aside, Tarantino's name in front of the title will probably help sell the film.

Yah, yah, a lot more positive than my pt. of view. I think explaining to too many people that he isn't the director takes a toll on the positivity. Good pt.
