hey i think i read that you've seen little children and shortbus, right? and maybe even science of sleep as well?
normally i don't do this, but i've been wanting to go see one of those alone. i've drug mike to enough movies lately, i think i can let him sit out one of these, haha. so this week i want to take the time out to go see one. i'm thinking shortbus, but i was just wondering what you recommend. i was also thinking little children, because the book was a christmas present of mine two years ago. it was a really good one, so i want to see how that played out on screen. and science of sleep looks the least exciting to me, but it's michel gondry. just wondering what you think i should see. you've always got nice opinions. thanks!
Hey hey... If I had to pick just one, definitely see Shortbus. I haven't seen Science of Sleep yet. I want to, it just never pans out and I have so many movies I need to see right now. I loved Little Children. If you enjoyed the book, you will love the film. Its adapted very well. The dialogue is straight out of the book and there's a semi-annoying narrator to clarify the story but I kind of forgot he was there after a while. Like everything else she touches, Kate Winslet turns in a great performance. The guy in it (whose name I forget now, but he was in Hard Candy) was also really good.
But yeah, Shortbus. It really caught me by surprise that I liked it so much.
