I knew it was going to hurt when the bike sailed into the concrete post, but I didn't think I would actually go over the handlebars like that. So when it was all done, I was lying on the concrete of the biking path with blood oozing from my knee, pain in my right thumb...and a dull ache in my left collarbone that was starting to get worse and worse ( Read more... )

Oh, poor baby! At least you didn't break your teeth like Paul did when he did a header on his bike -- that was traumatic enough for me! I hope this doesn't hurt things for you too much on the work front but on the bright side, you could catch up on your writing.

Oh, that sucks, I'm sorry :( How did you end up hitting a concrete post?

This is why I always tell my husband that he MUST wear a helmet when he rides a bike, even though he insists that he doesn't need one because there aren't cars where he rides.

I'll be the blunt one here I guess.... How did you not see a concrete post? Unfamiliar trail? Why is there a post in the trail?
