Called in sick to work today. Just wasn't feeling up to facing my day, I suppose. So, I grew up in Southern California, where the desert doesn't allow for much growth when it comes to grass and shrubbery. During the summer months, what little grass does grow dries out terribly, and summers are spent fearing drought and fire.
