Found out I'm the great-great(not sure how many greats)grandson of a confederate soldier, who might've owned a slave. I doubt it though. The ancestors were coal miners. Broke as shit. People who did that kind of work couldn't afford to own human beings. They just fought to protect a near-feudal culture that condoned slavery. Way to go

Yeah and I'm related to General Robert E. Lee...which according to the family history books in my Dad's attic I am. O_o I hold that that's just about as likely as you not become a literature professor that smokes a bubble pipe.
