What is worse about the politics of Wyoming versus the politics of the South where you have spent much of your career? Or, are you just sick of it and finally want to not live and work in an area where the politics drive you mad?
Best wishes on the new options. I would definitely be excited to live in south Florida. I don't really know enough about Houston. I have a feeling I couldn't live anywhere in Texas aside from Austin without going crazy. But, then again, I live in Arizona. Although, our government is wacky, the people are not as right wing Christian as they are in Texas.
My problem was with the people in charge at work. They were standing in the way of my development. Overall I loved the area (both Miami and Ft. Lauderdale). I will say that it took some time to adjust to some cultural differences but I got past that. I would go back there in a minute. Now that I am older and wiser I can do better with making sure that the position I end up in at work matches up to what I want/need out of work.
