I just got a phone call telling me that I am being invited back to Baton Rouge for another interview. It is not exactly the news I wanted, but it is good news nonetheless. I am happy -- and optimistic.

I woke up this morning planning on doing some sightseeing in New Hampshire, hoping to get a better feel for the area. This evening I had an interview in Nashua, New Hampshire. Since I had just returned from Louisiana, I could not get to New Hampshire until the day of the interview, which meant another very early morning flight; this one was at 5:30 AM. I should have known better than to expect Red Roof Inn to honor my wake up call request for 4:00 AM on the night daylight savings time kicked in, but I did -- and they did not make the call. My destination today was Baton Rouge, the capital of Louisiana and the location of my interview. Today we had a lunch meeting scheduled with the staff and a tour of thee offices, so I had time for a nice breakfast in Lafayette before heading off down the interstate for the roughly 60 minute drive to Baton Rouge. Knowing that I would be flying into Lafayette for my trip to Baton Rouge for an interview due to the cost savings, I knew I wanted an early morning flight. I was saving close to $200 by doing this and it is typically the time when I prefer to fly, since the chance of missing planes and connections is minimal.
