Learning german slowly drags forward. I bought an issue of "Bild" - it's a gutter paper, but supposedly uses only 2000 words, and practically every article is illustrated, which helps to understand what the hell it is about. It's first page is yellowish from marker noticing words I didn't know, and my word-notes is filling with new words ( Read more... )

My lady called me at work from Germany. I was very happy to hear her voice. She thanked me for the letter I've sent her. She's very tired, both physically and psychically - taking care of her sick mother is a great drain on her. We discussed how to make things better. In a moment I'll go to attend to my brother's father-in-law funeral.

I really liked him... Too bad I won't have a chance to see him again. In dreams maybe.

On the other hand he managed to travel to his beloved Greece few months before his death. And was on his daughter's wedding. I guess he died accomplished
