 It is UNBELIEVABLE how much crap you have to go through to get your name changed. People were right when they said getting a new Social Security Card was the easy part. I'm glad I have a copier/scanner because I have to send out a copy of my marriage license or new social security card to my credit card people and loan people. I haven't figured

It was out of sheer laziness that I didn't change my name.

Sorry about the potential familial drama. The worst thing a couple can do is stay together for the sake of the kids, because usually they just get more and more miserable and the kids have to SEE it deteriorate.
