Okee, so I decided I would do a reactionary post each week, just cos I can. I'm a little bit late to the party - always am - but I figured I might as well share a few quick thoughts. So...
(
The Beast Below. I'll needlessly add that this contains spoilers. )

I don't think of Doctor's lines as Ten or Eleven or Nine or Eight lines, I think of them as Doctor's lines. they are all the Doctor.

Oh, of course, I know lines don't really belong to a specific Doctor and they can be used by several incarnations. But it's good to know where phrases have originated and stuff. The person who quoted that line has embarked upon a quest to watch all the episodes now anyway, so he'll find out doon enough :)

I am liking Matt. He's taking a bit of getting used to but this week was much easier than last week. I like the trailing off and never quite finishing his sentences and the slightly enigmatic pauses.
The feel of the programmes has been good. Opening graphics are great, but that music is going to take some getting used to, I did love the one they used in series 2-4.
The whole 'forget' and 'protest' buttons were brilliant. I loved it and it couldn't come at a better time seeing as we are now 'gripped' by the election (well, some are. Frankly I wish I could press the 'forget' button on it).
Karen Gillan is great, I'm really enjoying her as a companion.

Hee, Matt's just so excitable and geeky and adorkable :D As for the music, I feel like we needed something new because of it being a new era and all. I did prefer the old one but it wouldn't feel right for it to be the same, know what I mean?
Oh, I'm definitely gripped by the election. It's the first time I can vote though, so it's pretty exciting :)
