You know... I know people despise the comparisons, but I know Hitler tried to do things like that actually. (as you do too) And these people say they want less government and more privacy ... oh right that is what the patriot act is for!

That's what I immediately thought too. When the country's down the tubes, blame the mentally ill! It's total scapegoating and further distracts everyone from this country's real problems. The whole "freedom" part in the name scares me so much. I honestly couldn't finish the article cause it made me sick to my stomach.

& Casey, I don't know if you saw my post about it yet but I wanted to wish you a (belated) happy birthday! (and sorry if I've already commented about that - I'm getting way too senile these days! xx)

One recommendation of the commission was that the screening be linked with “treatment and supports,” using “specific medications for specific conditions.” It is no coincidence that the treatments recommended for specific conditions are the newest state-of-the-art treatments that will bring in the most revenues for the drug companies.

Does that mean they are going to try and force people they deem "mentally ill" to take the drugs they think they should? That is ridiculous. Especially in children. Christ, how many kids are already on Ritalin, when they don't even need it?

One of these emerging treatments is a capsule implanted within the body that delivers doses of medication without the patient having to swallow pills or take injections. If a government wanted to exert control of its citizens, think of the implications of using this device.OK, that is fucking scary! Free will! Ha. I would use their Bible beliefs against them. Sorry, I have free will and I have to tell you NO! Stay the fuck away from me and my family ( ... )

I'll do some digging. I don't think someone could pull that out of thin air, its somewhere that is not easily accessible unless you find a link. Either way its entirely possible, when you're in bed with drug companies. Did you hear that news story last month about all the prozac found in Britian's water? I thought that was hilarious. It's just a matter of time.
It's incredibly scary, because its a stone's throw away from stripping us of other choices, seriously, who forces children and their teachers and then the rest of america to have mental illness tests?

I shall try and find out that answer for ya hun. You and Steve should get your hands on some information and then absentee ballots.

thank you very much for sharing this information! i refuse to take any kind of prescription pill. good ol' holistic medicine works for my family & i. when my son was a colicky baby, the doctors kept pushing their prescriptions. i was like, "hell no". i have a few friends whose children are on ritalin for being "hyperactive and disruptive". HEL-LO; your children are just that, children! oy. :) i'm already in the "metally ill" category; i'll move my family elsewhere before the feds forces us to take a pill or undergo psychiatric review.

xoxo laurel.

You're welcome, its all out there, we just have to find it. Sad though.

Good for you, it's good I think that we just don't assume anything a doctor hands us is the right path.
