I saw two signs. Well, three. One that said they were renovating, one was an official NYC health department form saying they were shut down, and another letter explaining that Dojo's would be back! etc. etc. Click the first link to see the picture.

There should be a second DOJO in the village if I remember.
Yup here it is. Not far.

I know, but the outside sitting area of the st. mark's place one is much more fun.

Oh well, atleast Kenka's still there. The day that gets shut down... well there would be almost no reason for me to go to St. Mark's!

I'm so glad I got to go and I didn't even die of a disease. Yay!

The Deluca's Market that was on the corner of Charles had a ton of violations a year or so ago. I believe they closed for a short while. They didn't have their meat refrigerated and other obvious things. Although, I've been warned about that place about a thousand times, so it wasn't really surprising they had to close. I don't understand how you could shop there for perishable items after knowing the health code violations they broke.

oh Deluca's Market *shivers*. I feel violated just thinking about that place.

It's funny because here in NY they also have Dean & Deluca's which is like a very over-priced Au Bon Pain/small-time grocer. They're super slick looking, but I still eye 'em suspiciously.
