Kings Baby Camp Take 1
Four days after the 1st Kings Baby Camp I went to, I went to another one after work, since that day was an off day for class. I really needed to go after being pulled over by a cop earlier that morning and being late to work.
Anyways, when I had arrived at TSC, it was pretty much dead. The Kings babies were kicking a soccer ball around and did some warm ups. Unlike last season, there was no shirts vs. skin soccer match, unless I missed it. I also met and chatted w/ Dave (Kingspawn from the LGK boards) while watching the warms ups while Dawn (another Kings fan I'd always see at practices) and I were taking pix.
Soon after we all went in and watched the on ice session. It wasn't too exciting since by then the camp was dying off. The rookie scrimmage game was already over the night before, and the big names such as JMFJ, Sully, ect. were already gone.
After practice, while waiting for the players to come out, I was hanging out w/ Dave, Eric (MindGeyzer from LGK) and Jamie (Undersaturn from LGK). Around 6 p.m., the players were coming out. I was only able to catch a handful of them. The rest were sneeking out from the other side of the inline rink. I could've easily catched them if I wanted to, but I didn't want to run to the other side of the building since I didn't feel like it. I felt so weird meeting and having my pix taken w/ the babies since they are just as old as my nephew (baby cousin but he's like a nephew to me), since he just turned 18 not too long ago. Other than that, they were cute and nice enough to stop. If it wasn't for Jamie catching the boys, I'd came home empty handed.
Since it was getting late and I didn't want to be in parts of the ghetto at night (one of the transfer points is in the ghetto), I left. So that was the Kings baby camp. I contemplated on going the following day, but since that camp seemed dead, I decided not to go.

Hickey is so tiny yet adorable. I really hope he can surprise me like he did when his name got called up at the NHL Entry Draft, but in a very good way.
The rest of the summer after the rookie camps and summer session was pretty up uneventful for the most part. However, last week Nommie and I got to meet Davey and Jade from AFI/Blaqk Audio at a Best Buy fan signing event. Then this past weekend was rather weird, everything from rink hopping to trying to crash Warped Tour. We were supposed to go, but we decided to go late rather than stay the whole time because of the heat. I was also scared to go the whole day since I didn't want to relive last year's Warped Tour where I had a very nasty headache. I'll have a separate entry on that "weirdness" day as well as a massive pix spammage entry of my summer and get back to the remaining memes I've been meaning to work on another time.
I have to get ready to go to class now, since it's the 1st day of Fall Semester. I'm still waiting for my work schedule since it's still being sorted out. As soon as I find out when my work schedule is, then I'll try to crash and 3rd class.
