As I occasionally do, I walked down to AK's mini mart in downtown San Jose. It's a kind of low end stop and shop that is literally on the other side of the tracks. I have often heard other females complaining about meeting folk like that (though I have never experienced it myself), but you are the first male I have heard describing such an encounter. I wonder if it is because they aren't experiencing those sorts of encounters, or if they just don't mention it if they do?
