:( I'm sorry about the sad. Callie's had a lot to focus on and some stuff kind of caught up with her at the end.

Yeah :/ But there's an epilogue! :) And the door is open for more...

Beautiful. I love this family you've created for them. And I'm surprised how NOT bothered I was by Callie's remembrance of Owen at the end. Whatever else he was, he was a good father and a decent friend. Maybe even a good one.

I noticed that 29/30... It made me sad. :( I don't want it to be over unless there's a sequel! I want a Calzona wedding, dang it!

Thank you. :) I love them too. I'm glad it didn't bother you. She's had a lot on her plate and this kind of snuck up on her. It's something she needed though. Owen, in spite of the complications and everything, was someone she cared for and she couldn't save him. But she just managed to give Nick a (at least temporarily) miracle. It kind of blindsided her a little bit, hence the crying.

I know! There's an epilogue! And the door will be open for more. :)

Wow, what an emotional chapter. Really hope that Nick gets a heart soon. Can't believe he would get to this point just to die? Looking forward to your next update.

I'm sorry! Nick is alive! Why are you crying?

(I got a comment on ao3 saying thank you to you for the inspiration for this one - thought I'd pass that along. Thank you, zen, sincerely! This has been a lot of fun and I have you to thank for it!)

:( I'm sorry about the sad.

Well, I hope that you like it. I know it kind of went off in a few different directions than what we talked about initially, but I hope it's been a fun ride. Except for all the people dying and legs getting cut off and stuff...

I just have to say this. I can understand Callie remembering Owen, hurting over not having been able to do anything for him and crying because he is dead. The thing that bothered me was that the scene in the backyard was different not because Owen is dead, but because they were divorced. Owen was her ex-husband, not her husband anymore. In my mind that is a big distinction. Even if Owen had lived there wouldn't be that kind of scene in the backyard anymore because Owen would have only been visiting there. I'm probably making it more than what you intended, but the phrasing just didn't quite sit well. It was still a good chapter though as long as I add the "ex" to husband at the end. All's good enough, but sad to have only one more chapter to go.

I vote for a sequel, but understand if that's it for this universe. By the way, I have started watching Harry Potter in prep for your other story. Looking forward to it too.

It is a big distinction, but he's always going to be the father of her children. He's always going to be someone she cared for. I can see where you're coming from though. At that moment though, all she was thinking of was of the friend she lost, her kids' dad. She managed to save Nick, but couldn't do anything for her own (ex) husband.

I have so many more ideas for this verse but I don't know when it's going to happen - I seriously have a stack of pages next to my couch with fic ideas jotted all over them. :) HP verse is next up. Who knows what else will pop into my head though. Never say never (there's even pages for LiT 2.5 in there too :P)

OOOH!! LiT 2.5! Yes!

I kinda vote for two stories at once, so that those of us who aren't Potterites can have the full benefit of your writing. I'm going to read the Potterverse, just because you're writing it, and I know it'll be well written and enjoyable. It's just... even though I've seen all the movies and I liked them well enough, I didn't LOVE them.

Now if we were talking Star Wars, that would be a different story. I'm picturing JCap/Arizona in the Princess Leia type role, and SaRa/Callie as a female Han Solo type.

Good lord, I can't believe my brain went there.
