Ok, a summary of what I haven't posted in, like, over a year...

Moved to Connecticut to live with Brian.

Got engaged in February '07.

Set the date for September 6, 2008.

We're going to Hawaii for our wedding and honeymoon.

The airfare, wedding planners, hotel, luau for that night are all booked.

I'd forgotten how much I like this Russian artist until my mom brought me a CD of hers I'd left in Florida.

A fellow returned Peace Corps Volunteer from Ukraine pointed this out and I'm not sure if it's more funny or sad.  Apparently, Frommers (who bill themselves as "Travel Experts for 50 Years") somehow missed the breakup of the Soviet Union.  Neither Ukraine, nor any of the other former Soviet Republics, exist according to them.  Just check out their ( Read more... )

I've recently had to move my photos off of Yahoo's photo site, because they are abandoning their photo portion of Yahoo.  By moving to Snapfish, I did get a bunch of free prints of photos, but I can't seem to figure out how to set up a link to my photos so I can share them.  Anyone have an acocunt with Snapfish and know how I can do this?  Thanks ( Read more... )

Ok, so I spent about 12 hours reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.  Brian brought me out at 7AM (bless his heart) to buy it at Walmart.

Gah, so I was looking at the local headlines on Yahoo and saw that a tornado had touched down in Thomaston, CT.  That is where Brian's parents live.  I called Brian and he had just called his mom and she was okay (thank goodness!).  Looks like we're in for some heavy thunderstorms, but Middletown seems to be a little south of the worst parts of the ( Read more... )

I'm visiting my grandmother, aunt, and uncle (as I do about once a month).  This morning, when I came downstairs from my aunt's apartment, I walked into the living room to see my grandmother and my uncle's cat - Both of them watching the Sunday Mass on TV!  Oh, it was too cute for words ( Read more... )

So, yesterday was the hottest day of the year so far and Brian decided to try out the AC in our new apartment.  He put it on at about 7:30 before he left for work, and it was working fine.  As our thermostat doesn't seem to actually work, I turned the AC off when our home thermometer read about 79 degrees.  A couple hours later, I put the AC back ( Read more... )

Today is so strange.  I must be dying or something.
