You must know how much I adore this fic. I absolutely love their unconventional relationship. How, despite everything, John remains to be Sherlock's. (GUH POSSESSIVE & INSECURE SHERLOCK ASDFGHJKL). I love the little competition between Sherlock and Mary. It's something we all know he'd win anyway. That little scene with John sleeping just made me flail so much. Even in his subconscious.

Just the same, Sherlock's insecurities made me feel so much for him. From the beginning (begging John to come to him -- he's stooped to actually asking!) until the end, when, despite returning to him after John's wife's death, Sherlock is still unsure whether John will stay.

And of course, I love the last part. I love John's patience and understanding for Sherlock's inexperience and fears. I love that, in the end, Sherlock was willing to give it a try because it's John. It's more than sex to him. This is probably my favourite bit: It doesn’t. Irene Adler parading around in no clothes, asking him to ‘dinner’, that wasn’t really alarming. This though

oh my goodness, this was lovely. I love the whole process of watching them go from friends to lovers, it just seems like the natural progression of their relationship. I hope to see more Sherlock fic from you :)
