I am delighted by Sherlock's voice in this story.

He's oblivious to his own feelings, but acutely aware of John's, and the fact that he adores John is never more apparent than when he refuses to leave John's side during the carrying of Mary's coffin.

Sherlock's voice is the thing I struggle most with (because it's hard to get under all the layers of genius and bastard and sociopath and everything else he heaps on top to fool everyone), so I'm glad you liked that aspect and it rang true for you.

And I'm glad the adoration of John came across too :D
