Well, this is one of those films that makes you embarrassed for everyone involved. People talk about Twilight as revealing awkward facts about someone's id, but this has that beat right into the ground. It's also really hard to respect a demon hunter called Jace. He sounds like a substance you use to clean your loo.

I can't watch it. I can't move past my moral block against doing anything that could even vaguely be construed as supporting the plagiarist and bully behind that series.

Maybe you will feel better when I say I saw it on HBO, so no money directly changed hands. It is so terribly crap.

Ah yes - Cassandra Claire. It's been a while since I heard that name. I am not surprised that the series sucks but I am sorry that it shares the name with a marvelous novel by Martha Wells. Check out the book - and her other books as well. She's a darn good writer, unlike Cassie C.

I shall track this down! And I've never managed to get past the first 30 pages of Claire's work. It's terrible.

Have you tried Divergent? As YA fare, it's rather better. The male lead's lips are a bit large and look almost painfully heavy but it's pretty entertaining
