When I was a kid, the local library used to have free movie afternoons, and my mom would drop off me and my brother and have some time to herself. When I was about 8, the movie was "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians." In some ways it was good to see a movie that bad when I was that young, but only in hindsight! I literally still have nightmares in which my brother and I are forced to participate in a "Hooray for Santy Claus" singalong.

This makes that film look like a staggering work of genius. After all, this clearly cost more than $5 which is the probably budget of SC vs. Martians... :)

I've never heard of it, but now I need to go check it out. All in the name of intellectual curiosity, of course.

It is so bad that it defeats all understanding. The Platonic ideal of all dreary, bad movies.

It's so dreadful. And clearly has no idea how dreadful it is. Everything is played completely straight like they're acting in a work of genius.
