Well, due to a particularly rude client, I ended up going back into work before 9pm yesterday, and not leaving until 12:30. I got a lil bit of sleep, but SO MANY THINGS DONE while the phone wasn't ringing and such. I only got scared like, four times. Which, when you consider that I could see scary lights from the dark outside, is not bad.

I got home, took a short nap, ate lunch, watched an episode of friends, then slept again until just now. I should probably stay up for a bit so I can sleep tonight, but i'M TOO EXCITED TO SLEEP. I'm going to visit kyrieanne tomorrow!

The weather has been SO MILD here, I haven't been wearing a full winter coat, but in Amarillo, it snowed 11.5 inches overnight. The pictures all my friends sent and the videos my mom sent of the dog playing in the snow FOR OVER AN HOUR are almost unbelievable.

Oh, I've been obsessed with (probably long-since-gone) Dead Authors Podcast. I've listened to Anne Frank, Flannery O'Connor, Ayn Rand and just starting Charlotte Bronte. I can't which one is my favorite.

Charlotte Bronte is my favourite, hands down. I should listen to it again. Ben Schwartz as Roald Dahl is pretty special though.

Hey everyone! I'm at emilyla's house, absent Emily. I'm hanging out with her bride, chillaxing while he plays some video game. We are not drinking? I don't know how to interrupt him to explain that booze is necessary.

This week we had a GLPG brunch with some people coming to Parkscon (hi ladies!) and it was delightful. Then on Sunday I had another brunch with additional ladies, my country line dancing bar group. And what do you know! We also went line dancing this week, and it was fun, except someone's date was there and she was totally ignoring her, which was hella awkward. I think I spent more time with her date than she did, but they did leave together, so...?

My boss and my team lead have been gone for the past three days, which has been blissful.

I'm so far behind on TV. I haven't seen Parks yet! It might be imaginary.

Hi, friends! I was in Canada last week. It was great. Husband and I have decided that if the opportunity to move to Vancouver should ever arise (his company has offices there, but there would be a bit of a learning curve as he would have to become familiar with the Canadian rules and regulations of his industry), we will move in a heartbeat. More likely we'd end up in Seattle if we end up going north but the possibility is something to look forward to. I think I may have stolen a ride on the subway from the fair city of Vancouver, as it only gave me the option for a single fare (as opposed to a round trip) and I used it both ways. Every single place I ate at in Vancouver, even if not specifically gluten-free, had a gluten free menu. I ran along the Stanley Park seawall. It was awesome.

This week I have been plunged back into the usual: dog started the next level of training, boys are in school, I may have some freelance work lined up.

I started watching Hindsight on VH1 and it is DELIGHTFUL. It has all of my favorite tropes: time ( ... )

Vancouver is incredible! Seattle has some GREAT gluten-free options, too - a lot of restaurants have GF menus now!

DID YOU FIND ME A HUSBAND? THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING.

If you're asking if I thought of you every time I walked into a shop and saw hockey merchandise, yes. If you are asking if I met any actual hockey players, that answer would be no.

Hey gang, how is everyone?

Look at me, being here two weeks in a row!!!

I just watched the eps last night so they're very fresh in my mind. The appearance of The Camel caused the first tears of the season, followed closely by Ann's house being knocked down. This season is going to break me.

In exciting news: I booked flights to Europe this week!!! I can't remember if I mentioned it on here before, but boyfriend and I are going over for his sister's wedding. I am now driving myself mad obsessing over accommodation, and dealing with serious feelings of rejection caused by Air BnB. Has anyone here used it before?

I HAVE NEVER USED AIR BNB BUT I DID FIND OUT THAT SEVERAL PEOPLE IN MY APARTMENT BUILDING USE IT TO LET THEIR APARTMENTS

AND I DON'T KNOW HOW I FEEL ABOUT THAT.

What sort of rejection are you dealing with?

Haha, really? That's interesting. I understand why you might not love that.

I just sent two booking requests yesterday and they both came back denied. I think it's probably because it's too far out and they don't yet know if they want to let their rooms in June. But it's a bit depressing after spending hours sifting through to find your favourites. Apparently it's pretty common to have to request four or five before getting confirmed though.

It's FINE. In theory I'm okay with it, but then I see people with the SAME APARTMENT LAYOUT as me on the thing

and that FREAKS ME OUT.

YOU WILL FIND A PLACE AND NOT BE TEMPORARILY HOMELESS WHILE ON VACATION, FRIEND. i have faith.
