This week's major event: the new Sleater-Kinney album came out. One day I will write a lengthy Tumblr post explaining why this band means so much to me and how glad I am to have them back after 10 years.

This weekend my mom and I are going to Vegas. We're going to see the Blue Man Group, which I've never seen before (she did years ago with my dad). Because I am a ) super cheap and b) quickly bored in casinos, I will probably spend about $10 or $20 total on video poker, and if I come out with any money I'll be delighted.

ParksCon wardrobe update: a friend loaned me a pair of lined boots. They're 9 1/2 but actually fit fine, especially as I'll be wearing thicker socks. Major wardrobe piece solved for free!

I can handle Vegas for a couple of days, after that the noise and lights get to me.
