They were very good. But I am confused that they didn't mention Ben's campaign at all. It's still going on, right? I would think they'd have mentioned it when he was considering taking the interim mayor position? Like how it would be difficult to be city manager/mayor/run a congressional campaign at the same time?

Other than that, they were great episodes.

HELLO FOLKS

I am sitting at home, having not left my house since yesterday morning. I had a TERRIBLE morning at work and told my boss (he's out of town) that if he wanted me here on monday morning when he returned, that I would not be back until Monday morning. I'd had about six months of peace and quiet and apparently in an hour and a half on Wednesday morning, that all went to hell.

It is freaking FREEZING here in Chiberia (And I do hate that term. Choth? Hothcago?), and I cannot wait for this weekend. For starters, it's supposed to warm up, and FOR OTHERS, I GET TO SEE SOME OF YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now I have to decide if I'm having frosting and graham crackers or butter pasta for dinner. I briefly thought about ordering a pizza, but I'm not a monster, and I will not subject a pizza man out in this cold.

I wish I had a good answer for you -- Initially we were supposed to get 8-10 inches on Saturday, then it was an inch or two, now it looks like we'll get around an inch on Friday, and it's supposed to be overcast on Saturday.

I wouldn't bring the snowboots, which is what i told stars_inthe_sky. Bring regular boots if you have them. Riding boots or something, to keep your ankles insulated.

Smart wool socks are great. They really keep the warmth in.

Good luck to everyone headed to Parkscon this week! Please don't get murdered by the GLPG. Or intimidate you about the weather, because when when I went to visit them a few years ago they freaked me out so much about it that I didn't bring normal shoes or a normal scarf. DON'T LET THEM TERRORIZE YOU LIKE THEY TERRORIZED ME.

I'M SORRY, ANDIE, YOUR COMEDICALLY LONG SCARF WILL GO DOWN IN HISTORY AS ONE OF MY FAVORITE THINGS, EVER.

It was all because you guys bullied me that my normal person scarf wasn't enough, so I was stuck trying to buy the only wool scarf left in California in March. It was on clearance for $4. SO IT'S ALL THANKS TO YOU BULLIES.

I'm sorry, but your regular pansy scarf wouldn't have been warm enough. You're glad we bullied you, and now we have a running joke.

I want somebody to tell me what I should cook for dinner. (I have chicken. Lots of chicken.) If it were up to me I would just have a bowl of tater tots but I live with people who expect actual food. Nothing sounds good.

I successfully conned people into buying my words and I am simultaneously working on three different articles that are all due fairly soon. The worst part is waiting for the people I need to talk to to get back for me.

Did anybody see the announcement that Obama is making National Parks entry free to all 4th graders and their families beginning next school year? I kind of wanted to cry when I read the article. Fitting that this is announced the week Parks leaves us. In my mind, Leslie is the one who suggested the initiative.

Um grilled chicken & tater tots. It's a Traeger Family staple. (if the traeger in question is me and/or knows how to cook chicken).

I'M SO PROUD OF YOU!!!!!! CONGRATS ON THE WRITING!

And that other thing is super cool. (Leslie super suggested the initiative, it was her first suggestion upon working at National Parks.)

I could do breaded and baked chicken strips or something, but it's pretty similar to what we had last night. (Baked chicken strips with a sriracha glaze.) I ended up with twice the amount of chicken I intended to buy because I asked for four breasts and the meat market guy gave me four DOUBLE breasts. Now I have chicken for days.

Maybe I will do that anyway.
