I posted this a few weeks ago but just wanted to re-post it to make sure no one misses it!
ANNOUNCEMENT ABOUT THURSDAY NIGHT DISCUSSIONS PLEASE READ
Hello all,
There has been some discussion about the end of Thursday Night Discussions and if we want them to just fizzle out eventually or come to a dignified, celebratory end. I know there was a rogue poll about it at some point but that wasn't initiated by me and as your humble Thursday Night Discussion leader I already had a plan in place based on feedback received when I posed the question in previous discussions.
THE PLAN:I am TENTATIVELY planning on the last official Thursday Night Discussion being on THURSDAY, MAY 21st, which would have likely been the finale if the season would have aired in a normal way. However, we will re-assess the WEEK BEFORE, THURSDAY MAY 14th, and potentially change the date at that point. If on that date (May 14) things are still going strong, we will move the date further down the line, no problem. But if by May 14th things have fizzled out (let's

Oh this is sad. I wish I would have participated more! I totally understand though and look forward to the next few weeks. You are all wonderful and amazing wildebeests.
Hello you starry-eyed sunfish! I'm about to board a plane to go to D.C. for the weekend, where I will watch Outlander with whatever DCPG contingent is around, go to as little of Boyfriend's high school reunion as I can manage, and meet with people who have resumes cooler than mine in attempt to find some way of working for a certain Democratic presidential candidate.
Hope everyone's got lovely spring weather to enjoy where they are (it's finally hit Boston, yay) and has a marvelous evening <3
I'm SO CARSICK right now. I forgot to eat lunch today (I'M REVAMPING OUR WEBSITE AND I GOT DISTRACTED) so i got mcDonalds (which i haven't done in forever) and took a cab home AND THERE WAS SO MUCH TRAFFIC and the cab driver just...stop and start and stop and start and now it's making me sick typing the words so i'm going to stop typing them.
Anyway. Nothing really, except baseball. Lots of baseball. Went to a Sox game last saturday with Haley (where i SHOCKINGLY DIDN'T MURDER SOMEONE), going again to a cubs game on Saturday with another friend of mine. In between: texas tech played, hockey playoffs started, and I'm trying to walk to and from work as much as I can.
Work has been chaotic, my coworkers are driving me batty, and my boss spent 20 minutes today explaining to me how he studied for his boards in 1983.
Not a lot going on except that last Friday I went with a pal from work to see Joel McHale at an Indiana casino. I cannot recall a fic where the Parks crew goes to the Wamapoke casino (why not?), but for reference, I have to say that a casino in Indiana will be filled with cigarette smoke and ashtrays. So many ashtrays. The venue was smoke-free and huge. The show was more Talk Soup than Community. A lot of jokes about the Kardashians and stuff from when Joel started out on Talk Soup/The Soup

Geoff made me watch Days of Future Past recently, and while I do not generally have feelings about the X Men, I super loved that scene with Quicksilver in the Pentagon.

I would also probably be irritated if it was just assumed that I was helping out with something as big as wedding planning.
