So. Finally got this thing working again, just in time to hear all bloody hell breaking loose up there. Sad to have missed it.

Unfortunately, I've been spending my time chained to a wall in someone's basement. Now I ask you- is that a way to treat an old mate ( Read more... )

Someone chained you up for being a vampire?

That's hardly why we chained him up. It has more to do with the rampant murder, actually. He's from our world, and when he arrived we panicked.

We've been supplying him blood and allowing him access to the Network, but we realize that since he hasn't done anything here, we have no grounds on holding him, so we're letting him go.

[She comes prepared, as usual. For what exactly, she's not sure, but there's a stake slipped up the sleeve of her jacket and a bottle of holy water stuffed into one of the pockets. Apparently crossbows are way too suspicious looking for something like this.

She knocks twice on the door of the mansion, hard knocks that would definitely be heard, no matter where Wesley was inside.]

[ He's been standing by the closed cellar door at the top of the steps, rolling his eyes while looking at Spike's innocent attempts on the Network. When he hears someone at the front door, he goes to answer it, letting Buffy in and closing the door behind her while speaking quietly, far enough away that even Spike can't hear. ]

Angel went to the office. If anyone asks, he knew nothing about us deciding to let Spike go free.

[She wasn't expecting Angel to be there, anyways. Not when he'd expressed his opinions against this plan from day one. It didn't matter, anyways.

They tried it his way, now they're doing it her way.]

Okay. So how were you planning on doing this? Just...letting him go and hoping that he attacks you?

[ He lightly shrugs, reaching into the pocket of his leather jacket as he starts to lead the way towards the cellar. ]

A little more goading couldn't help. He has several obvious buttons to push, so long as we don't say anything that he could use against us in a trial.

[ And he stops talking about it when they get near the door, because he can't risk Spike over-heading, and unlocks the door to head down the stairs. ]

Shall we let you prattle on about your scarred innocence for a bit longer, Spike? Or are you ready to be set free?

I don't see why you can't have cigarettes while chained up.
